Derick Ogbu Relishes New Deal In Egypt

Former Rangers of Enugu youth team player, Derick Chuka Ogbu says he is happy with the new deal that will see him don the colours of Al Ittihad Alexandria of Egypt in 2019.

 

Footballlive.ng can report that the former Golden Eaglets invitee was so excited to sign the dotted lines with the Egyptian Premier League club at the weekend, and says he is now hoping to beef up their attacking force.

The 28-year-old Ogbu signed a two-and-half-year contract with the high-profile Alexandria-based outfit, who hope to hold him till June 30, 2021.

Ogbu, who joined Umm Salal SC in 2010, got his European spotlight at OH Leuven of Belgium, where he scored 18 goals in 61 appearances.

He then moved to CFR Cluj in Romania in July 2013 before linking forces with Liaoning Whowin of China, before stints at Ventforet Kofu of Japan, Debrecen of Hungary and Tskhinvali of Georgia.
