Desert Delight: Dessers speaks on Rangers’ Victory over Heart

Date:

Cyriel Dessers speaks on Rangers’ triumphant journey to the final of the Scottish Cup after a commanding 2-0 victory over Heart at Hampden Park on Sunday.

Under the guidance of Philippe Clement, Rangers secured their spot in the final with the defender emerging as the hero, netting both goals for the Light Blues in a stellar performance.

The Nigeria international’s decisive strikes were made possible by the creative brilliance of playmaker Todd Cantwell, who provided the assists for both goals.

Dessers, who has now notched an impressive tally of 19 goals across all competitions for Rangers this season, expressed his joy at the team’s achievement and praised Cantwell for his instrumental role in the victory.

“When you reach a final with Rangers, you are always happy,” Dessers remarked in an interview with Rangers TV. “It wasn’t easy, but we got the job done.”

Reflecting on the crucial moments of the match, Dessers highlighted the teamwork that led to his goals: “There was a foul on James Tavernier, but he didn’t stay down”.

“He played it to Todd, and he had a lovely assist. I had some work to do in the box, but I was glad to eliminate the defender and have a good finish.”

With their sights set on further success, Rangers now gear up to face Celtic in the final of the Scottish Cup next month.
