Dessers at the Double in Massive Rangers Win

  1. Nigerian forward, Cyriel Dessers added two goals as he continued with his impressive streak to kickstart the new campaign. The 29-year-old forward scored twice to up his season tally to 5 goals in 6 appearances, as Rangers defeated Ross County 6-0 on their home ground.

Dessers opened the scoring in the 18th minute, putting a left footed shot beyond the opposition goalkeeper, capitalizing on an assist from Tom Lawrence.
Rabbi Matondo doubled the goal tally right on the stroke of halftime, with captain James Tavernier laying it for the winger.

The second half saw more goals, as Dessers scored a second in the 58th minute, this time Matondo provided the assist for the striker. Matondo created yet another in the 65th minute, with Tom Lawrence putting the ball in the net.
Matondo then got another goal in the 69th minute, with Danilo completing the rout in the 90th minute, as the boys in blue claimed a massive win.

Rangers sit tentatively atop the Scottish premiership, with 7 points from 3 games. The Gers will now play Celtic in Scotland’s heritage derby (Old Firm Derby), on the 1st of September.
