Cyriel Dessers emerged as the hero for Rangers, slotting home a well-taken finish to restore his side’s lead. James Tavernier provided the crucial assist, setting up Dessers’ goal and propelling Rangers back into the ascendancy. Despite St Mirren’s efforts to find an equalizer, Rangers held firm defensively and preserved their slender advantage until the final whistle, securing all three points and a crucial victory in their pursuit of the Premiership title.
With the win, Rangers remain in second place in the league standings, with 78 points from 34 games, just three points behind leaders Celtic. St Mirren, meanwhile, occupies fifth place with 43 points from 34 games played, as they continue their campaign in the Scottish Premiership.
