Former Chelsea striker, Didier Drogba compares his ‘passionate’ playing style to that of NBA legend Kevin Garnett.
Drogba won four Premier League titles and a Champions League trophy during his two spells with Chelsea and was considered a driving force behind the London club’s sustained success.
Nine-time NBA All-Star Garnett, who was renowned for his intensity, played a similarly pivotal role as he won the only title of his career with the Boston Celtics in 2008.
“I was talking about it with Kevin Garnett yesterday and I was saying that I really liked the way he was playing because he was playing with passion,”
“You could see in his eyes when he comes on the field, you could see that he wants to do something. He wants to win.
“So that’s one of the guys I could compare myself to a bit.”
Drogba was in Charlotte, North Carolina for the NBA’s All-Star weekend alongside fellow former Premier League winners Thierry Henry and Patrice Evra.
The trio was in attendance as Team LeBron defeated Team Giannis 178-164 on Sunday night’s showpiece event.
