The Super Eagles medical crew is set to play a key role in preventing any injured player from making the Nigerian team’s final squad to this year’s World Cup, and ensure only those who are fit would make the trip.
This much has been disclosed by Eagles’ media officer, Toyin Ibitoye, who stressed at the weekend that the team’s technical adviser, Gernot Rohr would be provided detailed medical reports for each of the players, before including them in his final squad list.
Ibitoye, however, assured that all the players would be 100 per cent fit and ready to make Nigeria proud at the World Cup, as he disclosed with affirmation that they are all eager to shine in Russia.
He went on to point out that the team is playing six build-up matches for the first time ever before any appearance at the World Cup.
Ibitoye expatiated that each game was specially selected to accord the Eagles proper team formation opportunities and an assessment of similar patterns with each of their group rivals.
