Super Eagles coordinator, Patrick Pascal has ruled out any possibility of the team losing their last Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at home against Seychelles, as he says the match will kick-start Nigeria’s preparations for the 2019 AFCON.
Though observers reckon the Eagles will take the game lightly, having already qualified for the competition, Pascal stressed that all the players are determined to give their best.
Footballlive.ng gathered further that ‘PP’ is sure so of victory on March 22 because he insists the players will give their very best, as they know that their performances could determine places in the final squad list.
The Atlanta ’96 also thanked Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for their continued support of the team, which he believes has already gone a long way towards shoring up the Eagles’ image and status in recent time.
Pascal said: “I am very happy and confident to say that preparations have started underground for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations.
“What will even interests Nigerians is that the players are working very hard not to miss out from the competition.
“The regulars want to keep their shirts while the new players want to snatch shirts, which makes the competition in the team very fierce.
“The Nigeria Football Federation I also doing their best as usual to provide the logistics needed for the team to succeed.
“The NFF has mapped out quality friendly matches before the AFCON. The players have also vowed to win the last match against Seychelles.
