Ebube Duru Shines in Denmark with A Debut Win

Super Eagles defender, Ebube Duru made an impressive debut for Sønderjyske, as his team crushed Solroed FC 7-0 in a Denmark Pokalen match on Wednesday.

From Rivers United to Sønderjyske

Duru moved to Europe in 2023 in search of better opportunities after previously playing for NPFL side, Rivers United.

After a successful trial, he signed a three-year contract with Sønderjyske Fodbold.

International Experience

The Nigerian defender has earned four senior caps for the Super Eagles and was part of the Rivers United squad that won the Nigerian Premier League in 2022.

Looking Ahead

Ebube Duru is now aiming to make his league debut on September 15, 2024, when Sønderjyske faces Brondby.

His team currently sits 11th in the Denmark Superliga after seven matchdays.
