Benfica of Portugal summer signing, Tyronne Ebuehi has received an early shower of high marks at the club, following superlatives rolling round him after his very first full training session with the squad.
After seeing the former ADO Den Haag of Holland defender line out in pre-season, a note from Benfica’s media noted that Ebuehi adapted quickly.
The Holland-born fair-skinned lad then participated in another demanding session the following morning, and his formal welcome to the team was reserved till after training.
Ebuehi got his third session with the Benfica squad on Thursday evening, for which the club’s fans were allowed to watch him for the first fifteen minutes of the workout.
The 22-year-old, who snubbed overtures from ADO and opted to pen a five-year contract with Benfica in the summer transfer window, has been handed jersey number 23 for the upcoming season.
He will now hope to hit the ground running when Benfica face Vitória Setúbal, Sevilla, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus and Olympique Lyon in friendly games before their first competitive match of the new season against Vitória Guimarães.
