Promising forward Mubarak Ejiogu has told Footballlive.ng his Minna side Niger Tornadoes will edge past Lobi Stars in their Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) week 25 tie.
The Ikon Allah Boys will host the Pride of Benue at the Bako Kontagora Stadium in Minna hoping to win against the league leaders.
Ejiogu is expected to be key for the side as they attempt to make a significant impact in the remaining matches of the league campaigm
“We want to win and we’re ready for them,” he told Footballlive.ng.
“It’s going to be tough but we have been preparing for this game for many weeks.
“The result from the game will be crucial and so we want to win so that we can close the gap at the top.
“We respect them (Lobi Stars) but we’re not afraid of them. Certainly we’ll have the fans behind us and hopefully we can meet their expectation.”
Tornadoes are fifth in the NPFL table with 37 points from a possible 72.
