Brandon Thomas put PAOK ahead in the 30th minute, converting an assist from Andrija Živković. Aris responded early in the second half, with Loren Morón equalizing in the 47th minute from a Moses Odubajo assist.
The decisive moment came in the 62nd minute when Taison scored the winning goal for PAOK, assisted by Brandon Thomas. PAOK faced a tense finish after being reduced to ten men in the 78th minute when Ioannis Michailidis received a second yellow card.
Nigeria’s William Troost Ekong is still recovering from injury after the AFCON, but the 30 year old was amongst the celebrations in his first club career league title. He was only able to contribute 10 appearances to the club’s triumph, with 6 of them being cleansheets.
Despite the numerical disadvantage, PAOK held on to secure the victory. This win took them to 80 points, narrowly finishing the season two points ahead of AEK Athens, who ended with 78 points.
