Federation Cup champions, El-Kanemi Warriors have been knocked out of the CAF Confederation Cup after a 2-1 loss to Dadje FC in the second leg of their preliminary round tie on Saturday.
The Borno-based club played a 1-1 draw in the first leg of the round in Ikenne. However, the fell to a 2-1 defeat to Dadje FC in the other fixture.
The Benin club have advanced to the first round with a 3-2 aggregate victory.
El-Kanemi Warriors will now turn their focus to domestic competitions, including the Nigeria Premier Football League and the President Federation Cup.
Meanwhile, Nigeria’s other representative in the CAF Confederation Cup, Enyimba, were given a bye into the first round and are aiming to become the first Nigerian team to win the competition.
