Elkanemi Warriors have decided to stay back in Jos to have a close Camp before their next match.
Speaking exclusively to www.footballive.ng
is the Head Coach of the El-kanemi Warriors of Borno coach Imama Amapakabo.
We thought it wise to stay back considering a factors like our location.
We felt that if we had to travel all the way back the day after my our match and knowing fully well that we are going to still leave Maiduguri Friday again to return back towards this axis for the next group stage match.
Having deliberated over the issue at the management level we concluded and arrived at the decision that the team should stay here in Jos.
Not forgetting one of the challenges we are facing whenever we get back to our base is the inability to play good friendly matches around that terrain.
Looking at those constraints we decided to stay back here to train and get properly prepare.
We want to thank the people of plateau state, especially the Sport Council having given us the facilities for my team to be able train in their stadium.
We being here at this point ,is like a close camp for us and we will be able to play one or two friendly match which is of more help to my team.
Having teams like the 2017 NPFL champions plateau United and also the NNL team Mighty of Jos here , is a moral booster for a good friendly match.
My team at least will get to practice on the artificial turf which is an added advantage because it is been used in most stadiums this days.
Concerning going to the next round every coach goes into the competition with the ambition of wanting to take back home the trophy .
It the aspiration of the I6 competitors left for the next round to be able to move to the next round.
We going into the group stage which Eight teams are going to emerge from the 16 team.
In conclusion every coach wants to enjoy an outright victory and at the end of the day let’s see who will be standing tall.
