Elder Paul Bassey has brought back sons of the soil to Akwa United the likes of Mfon Udoh , Ndifreke Effiong , Ezekiel Bassey, Emmanuel Etim
Ezekiel Bassey and Emmanuel Etim are players who joined the club last Season while Mfon Udoh and Ndifreke Effiong starting a new life with The promise keeper.
They were signed with the hopes of keeping the promises of the club’s prestigious status by coming out with good performances as the season start .
It could be recalled that Mfon Udoh was with Akwa united 2014 where he scored 16 goals to help Akwa United escaped relegation that year while the following year he scored 23 goals for Enyimba in his first debut season with the people Elephant which made him highest goal scorer of NPFL till date .
Ndifreke Effiong was part of U 23 team that won gold medal in AFCON 2016 in Dakar Senegal .
Both players will be a major boast for Akwa United to win NPFL for the first time in club history.
