Yobe Stars of Damaturu coach, Ngozi Elechi has disclosed that he still wants to sign 15 new players for the club, even after confirming the arrival of five already from other clubs across the country.
Elechi, who joined Yobe Stars from Go-Round FC of Omuku, said the incoming players will beef up the North East club’s current arsenal that has only 18 players retained from last season in the NPFL.
He confirmed that he has sent his schedule of activities for the start of the season to the management of the club including where they are to have their closed camping exercises.
This follows initial reports in November, that the Damaturu-based side signed Victor Obiowo, Reuben Essien and Solomon Chidi Nwachukwu from Go Round, as well as Osimaga Duke from Akwa Starlets.
Elechi added that he has suggested the choice of either Aba or Lagos for their final closed camping to finalise their preparations for the season.
He added: “I can confirm to you that we have completed the signing of Obiowo who is a goalkeeper.
“We also have with us Reuben Essien and Solomon Chidi Nwachukwu and the three have joined us from Go Round FC.”
