Emenike’s Las Palmas Debut Delayed By Knee Injury

Date:

Las Palmas of Spain striker, Emmanuel Emenike had his debut with the club delayed for much longer, after he suffered an injury in training.

Emenike joined Las Palmas on a six-month loan deal from Greek club Olympiacos on the final day of the winter transfer window in January, but is yet to make his official debut for the club due to fitness issues.

Las Palmas initially stated that Emenike is overweight, but the struggling club disclosed further at the weekend that he has been under treatment for several days after feeling sudden pain in his right knee during training on Thursday.

On the other hand, Emenike’s Nigeria pal at the club, Oghenekaro Etebo, who also joined on loan in January, has featured in two games since his arrival.

He was voted into the LaLiga team of the week after a brilliant showing in his debut game against Malaga last week.
