Nigeria forward Emmanuel Dennis Bonaventure scored a brace in Club Brugge’s 5 – 1 win over Royal Atwerp in the Belgian pro League on Sunday and has dedicated his brace to his parents.
Emmanuel Dennis opened his account in the 21st minute. Siebe Schrijvers made it two nil in the 40th minute. The goals continued to pour in as Mats Rits made it three nil in the 54th minute while Dennis got his second of the encounter in the 65th minute. Jelle Van Damme pulled a consolatory goal for Antwerp in the 85th minute but three minutes later in the 88th minute, Hans Vanaken completed the rout.
The striker was prevented from getting his hatrick as he was substituted in the 72nd minute for Dion Cools. After the game the Nigerian star took to his Instagram handle to appreciate the fans for their support and also dedicate both goals to his dotting parents. “Fantastic performance from the boy’s two goals for you mum+DAD”
Dennis Bonaventure has scored five goals in the 2018/2019 season for the defending champions.
