Date:

Stevenage of England youth team goalkeeper, Edward Ogbebor-Onaiwu has linked up with Nigeria’s youth national team, Flying Eagles, with hope of being included in the final squad for the Africa U20 Nations Cup.

Footballlive.ng gathered that Ogbegbo-Onaiwu will also seek a shirt in the squad for the forthcoming West African Foot ball Union (WAFU) U-20 Nations Cup in Lome, Togo.

This is sequel to his arrival at the Flying Eagles’ ongoing camp in Abuja on Thursday morning and quickly joined the second training session of the day at 4pm.

The 18-year-old trained with three other goalkeepers in camp under the eyes of the shot-stoppers’ trainer, Suleiman Shuaibu before the session was rounded off with a practice game.

The former Crystal Palace and Charlton Athletic academy keeper is in the under-18 team of Stevenage, but occasionally trains with the main side.
