Enugu Rangers midfielder Kazeem Ogunleye has attributed his impressive performance this season to his partnership with teammate Nweke Kalu. Both players have been instrumental in providing crucial goals and creating scoring opportunities for Rangers in the Nigeria Premier Football League.
So far this season, Kalu has found the back of the net three times, while Ogunleye has been even more prolific with six goals to his name. Their combined efforts have significantly bolstered Fidelis Ilechukwu’s side’s attacking prowess and contributed to their strong showing in the campaign which has seen them climb to the top of the league table with only eleven games until the end of the season.
Speaking to Lodgexpress, Ogunleye praised Kalu not only for his on-field contributions but also for his positive and supportive demeanor off the pitch. “Nweke is a top-class player and one who is always full of banter. He’s a great guy, and we have a good relationship both on and off the pitch,” Ogunleye said.
The midfielder also highlighted the importance of mutual support and motivation between teammates, emphasizing that their shared commitment to success has been a driving force behind their individual and collective achievements this season.
“Before games, we both give ourselves extra motivation. It’s always nice to have that kind of support from your teammates,” Ogunleye added. “Football has always been a team sport, and sometimes it’s not about who scores the goals but rather about the collective effort.”
