Enyimba Out of CAF Champions League

Date:

Enyimba’s journey in the CAF Champions League has come to an end following a goalless draw against Al-Ahly Benghazi in Aba.

The Libyans progressed to the next round with a 4-3 aggregate scoreline.

Enyimba, who are reigning Nigerian champions, were considered strong contenders to advance after a competitive performance in the first leg.

However, their inability to convert their chances into goals ultimately cost them the tie.

Despite being the favorites to win the preliminary round second-leg encounter, Enyimba couldn’t find the crucial goal that would have secured their spot in the next round.

Al-Ahly Benghazi’s resolute defense managed to keep the Nigerian side at bay.

With the result, Enyimba will now look to refocus their efforts on defending the Nigerian Premier League title.
