Players of NPFL side Enyimba are confident in Olanrewaju Yemi’s ability to lead the team in defending their Nigeria Premier Football League title.
Yemi, who previously served as an assistant coach, has taken over the reins for the remainder of the season following the departure of former head coach Finidi George.
Enyimba captain Joseph Atule believes that Yemi’s appointment will ensure continuity at the club.
He encouraged his teammates to support the new head coach, emphasizing Yemi’s tactical prowess and his motivational influence on the players.
“We are going to miss Finidi George, but he is in a high position now, and we wish him all the best,” Atule stated during a live session on his social media handle.
“Coach Yemi is a very good tactician; he encourages us a lot, and I am sure he will help us achieve our goal of defending the NPFL title. He will continue from where Coach Finidi stopped because they have worked together for a long time, so we are hopeful.”
