Las Palmas of Spain midfielder, Oghenekharo Etebo, is set to return to the starting line-up for what would most likely be his last game with the relegated club when they take on Girona in La Liga.
Etebo is happy to announce that he has fully recovered from another knock that ruled him out of action last weekend and is primed to star at Gran Canaria on Saturday.
The on-loan CD Feirense midfielder, who was rested in Las Palmas’ 1-0 loss at Eibar last weekend, but will now return as they hope to end their current 15-match losing streak, the longest by the club in the modern era.
The 22-year-old Olympic bronze medallist has been a regular for the modest LaLiga side despite not being able to save them from relegation.
Etebo has featured in 13 games, recording one assist, including a man of the match performance against Barcelona, and expects to feature in the next tie as well.
“I will play against Girona. It’s our last game and I hope we can give the fans something to hope for ahead of a very difficult summer. They have been loyal to us so they deserve to test victory,” Etebo said.
