Etebo calls for focus after Stoke City’s loss

Super Eagles midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo has called for more focus from players after Stoke City slummed to a 2 – 0 home defeat to Bristol City in the English Championship on New Year’s day.

The Nigerian International played all 90 minutes of the encounter but goals from Famara Diedhiou in the 39th minute and Callum O’Dowda in the 81st minute was enough to condemn the Potters to their seventh loss of the season in 26 games and are currently 14thon the log.

Reacting to the loss Etebo said. “Not the result we wanted but still have to keep our heads up and focus on the next one” Stoke City will face Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup on Saturday before battling it out with 18th placed Brantford in a championships fixture a week later.

The former Warri Wolves star joined Stoke City from Portuguese side Feirense for the sum of 6.35 million pounds after a successful loan spell at Spanish side Las Pamas.
