Stoke City of England midfielder, Oghenekaro Etebo has given God all glory for his side’s victory over the past weekend against Hull City in the English Championship.
While acknowledging that it was a great performance from his side that helped them get victory in front of their home fans, the former CD Feirense of Portugal and Las Palmas of Spain star added that God should be praised for making it possible.
Etebo, who has featured in all five of Stoke’s games in the Championship this season, said he was happy to play a role in helping The Potters get their first victory of the campaign at Bet365 Stadium, Staffordshire on Saturday
Stoke had been without a win in their previous four games in the term, hence Etebo’s delight at they defeated Hull City 2-0, and the former Warri Wolves player was involved from start to finish in the game.
A ninth minute strike by James McClean and an own goal by Jordy de Wijs gave Gary Rowetts side the win, after which Etebo took to social media to praise his team and acknowledge the glory of God in their efforts.
“Great performance and result! To God be the glory,” Etebo tweeted.
