Stoke City of England summer signing, Oghenekaro Etebo is heading to his new base this weekend, in time to be part of preparations for The Potters’ forthcoming pre-season friendly matches against the German pair of VfL Bochum and SV Hamburg.
Etebo will then hope to hit the ground running at the start of next week, to convince Stoke’s gaffer, Gary Rowett that he deserves a spot in the travelling squad, after flying out of Nigeria and land at his new base on Sunday.
Rowett will then evaluate Etebo, to see if the Russia 2018 sensation should be included in the Stoke roster for the trip to Herzlake, where they will hold a six-day training camp and play some friendly matches.
Though Etebo missed Saturday’s friendly against Walsall, he should be in frame for next week’s games against Bochum, Hamburg and SK Meppen; ahead of Stoke’s first competitive game of the new season against Leeds United on August 5.
