Etebo Lands In Asaba On Tuesday, Behind Akpeyi

Date:

Stoke City midfielder, Oghenekaro Etebo is set to land at the Super Eagles’ camp in Asaba on Tuesday, some 12 hours after his former teammate at Warri Wolves, Daniel Akpeyi breezed in.

While Chippa United of South Africa goalkeeper, Akpeyi moved ahead to the camp on Monday, footballlive.ng gathered that Etebo sent word ahead that he was delayed till Tuesday.

On the other hand, Akpeyi arrived at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos on Sunday and is about now preparing to board another flight taking him to the Delta State capital.

Akpeyi, who captained Chippa United in their last outing in the PSL against Kaizer Chiefs, will hope to make the use of Francis Odinaka Uzoho to start for Nigeria in the country where he plies his trade.

The 32-year-old is the most active of the three goalkeepers in the 23-man squad, having started and completed all the ten matches contested by Chippa United in the league this season.
