Stoke City summer arrival, Oghenekaro Etebo may have the pleasure of saying welcome to Nigerian-born England youth international, Sheyi Ojo, as the winger has been tipped with a move from Liverpool to The Potters.
Etebo has settled down since his arrival from UD Feirense of Portugal, following a loan spell last season at Las Palmas of Spain, and could be on ground to receive Ojo, should efforts in place by Stoke see the light of day.
Though Ojo would prefer to finally try for relevance at Liverpool, he appears heading for another loan exit from Anfield, as he has reportedly emerged a transfer target for Stoke.
After Stoke’s relegation from the English Premier League, Xherdan Shaqiri will leave the bet365 Stadium this summer and Liverpool are said to be closing in on a deal that would see Ojo move in the opposite direction.
That scenario has resulted in Stoke asking for a player in return, and Ojo is said to be on the radar of The Potters’ boss, Gary Rowett.
Ojo has made a total of 13 first-team appearances for The Reds, but the last campaign was spent on loan at Fulham where four goals came in 22 outings in the Championship.
The report also suggests that Stoke are keen to secure a similar deal with Rowett looking to add the 21-year-old to his attacking ranks ahead of the upcoming campaign.
