Stoke City of England midfielder, Oghenekaro Etebo has underlined the importance of Saturday’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Libya, as he says victory for the Super Eagles would take them one step closer to reaching Cameroon 2019.
Footballlive.ng can report that Etebo, who has also played for Fereinse of Portugal and Las Palmas of Spain, said ahead of Saturday’s match in Uyo that the Eagles cannot afford to drop a single point from the game.
He retorted: “We know the importance of the match. We know it is a must-win for us, if we want to be in Cameroon next year.
“It’s not going to come easy. Libya are strong, so we are not expecting them to be here for sight-seeing.
“They too, want to go to the Nations Cup but we are determined to win. We are working hard to achieve our target, the players, coaches.”
