Eugene Agagbe, the head coach of Lobi Stars, has pinpointed goal-scoring as the primary concern affecting his team’s performance. Despite creating numerous opportunities in their recent matches, the Pride of Benue have struggled to find the back of the net, resulting in goalless draws.
In their latest fixture, Lobi Stars were held to a 0-0 stalemate by Bendel Insurance. Agagbe acknowledged the disappointing outcome but remains committed to addressing the team’s scoring deficiencies for the remainder of the season.
“It was a disappointing result for us, but I look at it as part of football because we’ve also won away from home,” Agagbe commented in a post-match interview. “We will try our best as we have another game away from home to make sure we get a positive result to keep the title in sight.”
Despite the recent setbacks, Agagbe praised his players for their efforts in creating scoring opportunities. “The lads did well by creating a lot of chances that would have won the match for us, but sometimes things won’t go as desired.”
Currently occupying the third position on the table, Lobi Stars are gearing up for a crucial encounter against Gombe United at the Pantami Township Stadium this weekend with the title race heating up for Agagbe and his squad.
