Villarreal midfielder, Samuel Chukwueze has expressed his delight after making his debut for the Spanish side in last night’s Europa League home clash against Scottish outfit Glasgow Rangers at the Estadio de la Ceramica.
Chukwueze, 19, came in for Nicola Sansone in the 79th minute of the encounter which ended in a 2-2 draw.
“Happy for my debut yesterday @ the @EuropaLeague,@VillarrealCF,” reads a tweet on the youngster Twitter handle on Friday.
Meanwhile, Villarreal manager, Javi Calleja has tasked the former Golden Eaglets star to keep working hard in order to fulfil his potential.
Chukwueze signed for the Spanish outfit in 2017 and had been starring for their reserves in the Spanish third tier.
In his first season, Chukwueze made 11 Segunda B appearances, scoring two goals in the process. And, although he was promoted to the senior side ahead of the 2018-19 campaign, he has played four times for the B side this term.
