European Leagues Summer Transfer Window Officially Opens

The summer transfer window officially opened today, Monday, July 1, allowing clubs until August 30 to complete their deals.

The Premier League and Scottish Premiership have aligned their transfer window Deadline Day with major European leagues to ensure consistency.

This decision came after discussions with the leagues in England, Germany, Italy, Spain, and France.

The 2024/2025 Premier League season kicks off on Friday, August 16, and will end on Sunday, May 25, 2025.

The season will span 33 weekends, include four midweek rounds, and one Bank Holiday matchweek.

Key dates in the football calendar include the Community Shield between Manchester City and Manchester United on Saturday, August 10.

The Carabao Cup final is set for Sunday, March 16, and the FA Cup final will be played on Saturday, May 17.
