English Premier League side, Everton Football Club has celebrated their former hitman, Yakubu Aiyegbeni as he clocks 36.
Aiyegbeni, a former Super Eagles striker, celebrated his 36 years on yesterday the 22nd November 2018.
Everton took to their official Twitter handle to celebrate their iconic striker on his birthday wishing him a happy birthday.
The Twitter message states:
“ Happy birthday, Yakubu! #EFC ”.
Yak, as his is fondly called, was born on 22nd November 1982 in Benin City, Nigeria.
Aiygbeni made 82 appearances for Everton and scored 25 goals for the Blue side of the Merseyside.
He scored his 100th goal in English football in a league game at West Bromwich Albion.
The former Blackburn Rovers F.C player made 428 career appearances with 172 goal. He have 57 caps for Nigeria with 21 goals.
Nigerians remember Yakubu so easily as a result of his hauler against South Korea in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa where he failed to score against an open net.
