Ex West Brom defender blasts Mourinho for unguarded comments after Man City defeat

Date:

Former West Bromwich Albion defender Ifeanyi Udeze has blasted Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho over his unguarded comments after his team lost  3 – 1 to defending champions and table toppers Manchester City at the Etihad stadium on Sunday.

The United boss stated that the Manchester derby was the first real match Pep Guardiola’s men has played this season as others have been mere friendly games.

Speaking on foremost Brila FM morning talk show, Udeze who had a total of 10 caps for the English football outfit has told Mourunho to be more matured when he speaks about things that concern other clubs. “I think what Mourinho said is totally nonsense. How can he say that this is the first real match Manchester City will be playing this season. City has played in the UEFA champion’s league, over 10 matches in the EPL and so on and because they just played your team you’re saying this is the first real test. This is coming from a man that lost 3 – 1,”

Manchester City has played top clubs such as Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea this season and are yet to lose a match in the EPL so far while Manchester United has lost 4 premier league games this season which Udeze believes has shown the superiority of the men from the blue side of Manchester.

Mourinho believes he lost the match because of mistakes and not that Mnchester City played better. ““Not a bad performance at all, far from it. One thing is a bad performance, another is a performance with mistakes. Ours was a performance with mistakes. All of the three goals were mistakes and we were punished for that.”
