Enyimba of Aba goalkeeper, Ikechukwu Ezenwa has declared himself fully fit to make a mark with the Super Eagles against Libya, despite an injury he got in his club’s Federation Cup semi-final loss to Kano Pillars.
Ezenwa had to bow out of the first half in the encounter on Sunday, which left him in doubt over his chances of joining training with the Eagles on Monday.
However, Ezenwa was quick to reveal that he had fully recovered from the knock to his arm, and was ready to compete with Elche of Spain’s Francis Odinaka Uzoho and Chippa United of South Africa’s Daniel Akpeyi for the first choice’s slot against Libya on Saturday.
He stated Tuesday morning that he responded quickly to treatment from Enyimba’s doctors, who he said were able to knock him back into proper shape; to stand a good chance of lining out for the Eagles against Libya.
Ezenwa declared on arrival at the Eagles’ camp in Uyo that he received immediate expert attention from his club’s doctors, and said he is happy that he was able to make a quick recovery.
“I am no longer injured,” the former Flying Eagles and U23 team star declared.
“I received instant treatment from the doctors at my club, and I was able to recover fast. I am now fully fit and ready to do well if selected to play against Libya on Saturday.”
