Remo Stars goalkeeper Emmanuel Fabiyi has declared that his team deserved to pick a point in their rescheduled Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) game on Wednesday.
The Sky Blue Stars kissed the canvass following a late heart break from Wasiu Jimoh as the Pride of Rivers won 1-0 at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium.
“We didn’t deserve to go home empty handed. It was a game in which we gave so much to but lost,” Emmanuel Fabiyi enthused to Footballlive.ng.
“The late goal was a bitter pill to swallow. I had the feeling that we were almost certain to pick a point. But football sings a different song at times.
The former Bayelsa United and Shooting Stars goalie stated that the setback has become a thing of the past.
“We have made a resolution to put the defeat to Rivers United behind us. The next game against Sunshine Stars should be our major target. We can travel to Akure and cause an upset,” the Benin Republic international added.
