Kwara State Commissioner of Police, Fafowora Bolaji has challenged government, private sector and individuals to support sport to minimize crime in our society.
Fafowora was a Special Guest of Honour at the closing ceremony of the 12th edition of the Kwara State U13 Boys Soccer Tournament on Wednesday.
“A society where youths are engaged in sport is always free from all kinds of crimes like drug abuse, hooliganism, cultism, rape and armed robbery,” Fafowora Bolaji began in a chat with Footballlive.ng.
“Kwara State is known as home of peace and unity. We need to continue encouraging our children right from their youthful age, so that we can have rest of mind as parents and live together as one big family in our communities.”
The championship was organized by Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON), Kwara State Branch in conjunction with Nigerian Police, Kwara command.
Chairman Kwara State (YSFON) Branch, Mallam Ademola Kiyesola appreciated Kwara State Command of Nigerian Police, the Commissioner of Police, CP Fafowora Bolaji for believing in the project.
