Falconet Head Coach, Christopher Danjuma Proud Of The Mentality Of His Charges

A last minute strike from wonderkid, Rasheedat Ajibade was required to see Nigeria qualify for the quarter finals at the FIFA U-20 Women World Cup in France after the opponent had taken the lead in the 41st Minute.

While speaking to footballlive.ng the team’s Head Coach praised the players for the strength in mentality they showed by fighting until the very last minute and grabbing the all important goal that saw them into the quarterfinals.

Coach Danjuma said, “I feel great about the match especially considering the nature of the match and how hard the players fought until the very end.”

On grabbing the late equalizer that helped the team progress into the quarterfinals, he said, “The girls showed great character and mentality to fight until the very end which helped us to qualify.”

Coach Danjuma when further to set a target for his players which was to continue their habit of reaching the final every four yearly as the team last got to the final in 2014 having previously achieved same in 2010.

Nigeria face Spain next in the quarterfinals and the team’s Head Coach believes things would work in favor of his team even as he back his players to put the required work into achieving success in France
