The Nigerian Under 20 female team, also known as the falconets have continued their march at the ongoing All Africa Games. The team have now progressed to the final of the female footballing event as they took down Uganda 2-0 in the semi finals, at the Cape Coast stadium.
The falconets had already defeated Morocco 2-0 in their opening game, and thrashed Senegal 4-0 in the second game to set up the Ugandan tie.
The game was a cagey affair in the first half, with no team getting anything concrete in the first half. The second half was seeming to follow the same script until the falconets coach tossed on his substitutions, and that would prove to do the magic for the team.
Adaobi Okoh and Chiamaka Okwuchukwu were summoned from the bench, and they delivered in the 74th and 89th minute respectively.
The ladies now await the winner in the second semi final between Ghana and Senegal.
