Two-time runners-up in the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup, The Falconets of Nigeria are set to depart for this year’s tournament in Colombia on August 18.
This 2024 edition marks the first time the tournament will feature 24 teams, with Africa represented by Nigeria, Morocco, Cameroon, and Ghana.
Matches will be played across four venues in three cities: Bogotá, Medellín, and Cali.
Bogotá will host games at Estadio El Campín and Estadio El Techo, while Medellín’s Estadio Atanasio Girardot and Cali’s Estadio Pascual Guerrero will also bea venues.
Nigeria began their training camp in Abuja on July 7 and will compete in Group D alongside Germany, Venezuela, and Korea Republic.
