Falcons beats Cameroon, qualify for 2019 World Cup

Nigeria’s Super Falcons beat the indomitable Lioness of Cameroon 4 – 2 on penalties to book a spot in the final of the ongoing Africa Women Cup of Nations in Ghana to be played on December 1st and become the first African country to qualify for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France.

The Falcons endured an unfamiliar terrain as they came up against a resolute and we’ll determined cameroonians side who maintained and controlled proceedings in the encounter that lasted 120 minutes.
Cameroon showed class in the semi final game amassing the bulk of the games statistics including 62% of the possession and a total of 14 shots at goal and 4 on target whereas the Falcons got a total of 8 shots at goal and 3 on target.
Onome Ebi, Rasheedat Ajibade, Asisat Oshoala and Ngozi Ebere scored Nigeria’s penalties.
With the victory, the Super Falcons became the first African country to qualify for the 2019 FIFA Women World Cup in France.
