Nigeria’s female national team, Super Falcons are set to take their preparation to another level ahead of the 2018 Africa Women Cup of Nations, as footballlive.ng gathered that the squad will tango a male club in their latest build-up match.
Falcons coach, Thomas Dennerby enthused that his players will have a different test to their mettle on Thursday, when they line out against Dominion Hotspur boys’ team in Lagos.
Incidentally, it will be the Falcons’ first test match ahead of the 11th AWCON in Ghana, where the Nigerian team will aim to defend their title and chase their ninth conquest of the continental showpiece.
Dennerby said playing against boys will help the eight-time African champions start the second phase of their build-up in style, after resuming camping on Monday at Jubilee Chalets in Epe, Lagos.
Dennerby also disclosed that all 19 overseas-based professionals that were invited to the camp will also help take the preparations to the intensive stage during the week.
The Falcons’ final squad list to AWCON 2018 is expected to roll out on Friday, before the team jets out to Ghana next week.
