Fear Of Musa Hits Argentina’s Supporters

Date:

The fear of Ahmed Musa is the beginning of wisdom for supporters of Argentina at this year’s World Cup, as the South American country’s soccer fans are now worried over the possibility of the Leicester City attacker ending their round of 16 hopes on Tuesday.

Not only is Musa now talk of the tournament, after his stunning brace against Iceland on Friday, the Argies also remember that he hit two goals against them at Brazil 2014, and is eager to repeat the feat in Saint-Petersburg, Russia.

Though Argentina won 3-2 the last time Musa scored two against them, the big fear this time out is that La Albiceleste might not be able to carry the day if the fast-paced attacker hits top form against them on Tuesday, as the two-time World Cup winners have not be convincing so far this year.

Consequently, some Argentina fans who are in Russia to support their team have already described Musa as a big threat to their continuous stay at the 2018 World Cup.

Some of the Argentines declared on Monday in Moscow that the Eagles are in better state of mind going into the match, and Musa’s form could spur them all the way to victory.

One of the Argentines, Santiago Lautaro said: “We only have only individual talents but not a team.

“Ahmed Musa is as dangerous as Lionel Messi but you know he has done better than the Barcelona star in Russia 2018.”

Another Argentine, Matias Franco noted that Musa holds good statistics against his team and said he hopes the attacker will not have a good day for the Eagles game against them.

“Our performance has not been good in this competition but it is not over yet. I hope we can have a better performance against Nigeria on Tuesday because it will be sad to leave the World Cup now.

“Our defenders must be weary of Musa’s threat, he is a good player and you remember he scored two goals against us the last time we met,” Franco said.

On his part, Augustin Nicolas holds a different view, as he believes his country will beat Nigeria on Tuesday, because he is sure La Albiceleste are the better side.

He said: “Our players will get themselves better in the game against Nigeria even though your team are a better side at the moment. We will beat your team for the fourth time in the World Cup in St. Petersburg on Tuesday.”
