Chelsea of England defender, Fikayo Tomori is set for another loan deal that will take him out of Stamford Bridge this season.
After spending last term on loan I the lower division with Hull City, the Nigerian-born England under-21 international has received strong signals of another impending time away from The Blues, after being left out of the squad that flew to Milan, Italy on Friday evening.
This could mean that Tomori is not in the plans of new Chelsea coach, Maurizio Sarri, in spite of being one of the first set of players to report at The Blues’ Cobham training centre for pre-season.
Tomori has been at Chelsea since the age of eight, and progressed through the London club’s youth teams before making his first-team debut against Leicester City on the final day of the 2015/16 season.
That same season, the Canada-born lad was named Chelsea’s Academy Player of the Year, two days after he made the match day squad for the first time in his career against Liverpool on May 11.
Though Tomori travelled with the squad to Australia for last week’s friendly match against Perth Glory, he spent the whole game on the bench.
