Super eagles interim coach, Finidi George has given his assessment of debutant, Benjamin Taminu. Taminu made his national team debut on friday when Nigeria took on Ghana in an international friendly, in Marrakech.

In his exact words, Finidi said:
“I was quite impressed. The young lad, being his first time wearing the Super Eagles jersey, I think it’s a lot. It’s a lot to ask of a young lad but I think he did so well. Composure, discipline wise, I think he had a pretty good game so we cannot fault him for anything. I think the best of him is yet to come. Definitely as he comes in, every now and then he will build that confidence to play on that top level”
The Ihefu FC defender played 79 minutes on Friday, and could be in contention for minutes when yhe team take on Mali.
