Shakirat Moshood opened the scoring for Nigeria in the 19th minute, followed by Peace Effiong doubling the lead 10 minutes later.
Harmony Chidi added a third goal nine minutes before halftime, and substitute Blessing Ifitezue scored the fourth goal for the Flamingos 16 minutes from time.
Liberia managed to pull one back from the penalty spot in the 87th minute.
The reverse fixture is scheduled for next weekend at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja, where the Flamingos will look to cement their qualification with another strong performance.
