Flying Eagles Begin WAFU-B Preparations with Friendly Win

The Nigeria U-20 national team, known as the Flying Eagles, kicked off their preparations for the upcoming West Africa Zone B (WAFU-B) Championship with an impressive 4-1 victory over Seamoriow FC at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne.

Kparobo Ariheri stole the spotlight with two goals, while Isreal Ayuma and Kenneth Igbokwe both converted penalties to secure the win.

This was the head coach Zubairu led team first match away from their camp in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), signaling an important phase in their build-up to the WAFU-B tournament.

The Flying Eagles are gearing up for key group-stage clashes against Burkina Faso and Côte d’Ivoire.

Their performance in this competition will be crucial to advancing to the semi-finals and earning a spot in the next U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
