Arsenal youth team star, Folarin Balogun was on song at the weekend, as he boosted The Gunners’ kids’ surge to the semi-finals of the U-18 Premier League Cup.
Balogun was joined by James Olayinka and Bukayo Saka in helping the young gunners to a 5-4 penalty shootout win over Norwich City at Shenley Training Centre on Saturday.
At the end of ninety minutes, the score was tied at 2-2, with the versatile striker Balogun and Trae Coyle finding the net for the London team, so the game went into extra-time.
The two teams could still not be separated after extra-time, but Arsenal won 5-4 in sudden death, to join Tottenham Hotspur, Everton and Chelsea in the last four of the competition.
Young Nigerian-born striker Korede Adedoyin impressed for the Toffees in their 2-0 win over Fulham at USM Finch Farm on Saturday.
Swansea City striker, Tammy Abraham’s younger brother, Timmy Abraham started and was involved for 78 minutes for The Cottagers.
