Monday’s MRI Scan report spelled bad news for a minimum of 15 players who had been integral to the Manu Garba’s Golden Eagles team as they now have to look for another platform to kickstart their respective careers.
Former Nigeria U-17 Head Coach, John Obuh who spoke to Footballlive.ng * was however unsympathetic to the ordeals of the footballer who at this time might think there career are on the brink as he said all the players should continue to push and who knows they migyt be useful in the U 20 or future for the super Eagles . Wired Ndiddi failed the MRi test at the U 17 level I took him to the U 20 to joined and he made the team to the world cup today he is super Eagles player.
Speaking to www.footballlive.ng, he said, “I would say to the coach , to go back to his plan B. If you want to succeed with the U-17, do not expect sympathy from any body so in case of an MRI Scan failure always have a plan B and move ahead.”
He however sympathized with the team’s gaffer, Coach Manu, calling on him to keep his head up and get back to work as time was already well against him.
The former Kwara United FC Coach concluded by advising Coach Manu Garba based on his experience with the Country’s youth team, saying, “The coach should not allow this get to him. MRI Scan are very unpredictable. It can fail you and render a team useless. So while building a team, the coach should look for other means of finding out every detail especially for the players who he is building his team around and also keep tabs on several players not necessarily with the team but as a fall back plan for events as such.”
