Ghana’s national team, the Black Stars, will see a change in their squad lineup for the upcoming friendlies against Nigeria and Uganda, with Cercle Brugge midfielder Francis Abu stepping in to replace the injured Mohammed Kudus.
Kudus, who plays for West Ham United, withdrew from the squad due to a shoulder injury sustained during a recent match against Aston Villa.
In his absence, Abu, a 23-year-old midfielder, will join the Black Stars squad and is hopeful to make his debut for the team in the upcoming matches.
The Black Stars, led by coach Otto Addo, are set to face their long-standing rivals, the Super Eagles of Nigeria, at the Grande Stade de Marrakech on Friday. Following this encounter, they will take on the Uganda Cranes in another friendly match at the same venue next Tuesday.
