Frank Onyeka Credits Africa Cup of Nations for Improved Fitness

Brentford midfielder Frank Onyeka has attributed his improved fitness level to his participation in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023.

Onyeka, a key player for the Super Eagles, started all seven games during the tournament, where Nigeria finished as runners-up.

The 26-year-old midfielder believes that representing Nigeria at AFCON contributed to his enhanced performance, as evident in Brentford’s recent match against Manchester City, despite a 1-0 defeat.

Onyeka expressed satisfaction with his fitness and the defensive performance against a challenging opponent.
